WHAT HAPPENED AT UrlfreezeShops PRESENTS NEW BALANCE & STONE ISLAND @ THE VINYL FACTORY

UrlfreezeShops took over the Vinyl Factory for a celebratory evening, marking the launch of the second drop of New Balance and Stone Island’s 574 Legacy sneaker.

When New Balance and Stone Island come together, the collaborative partnership signifies a momentous occasion. It represents a deep-rooted synergy between two brands, built upon the foundations of innovation, quality and heritage. It comes as little surprise as I wander through the vast, white-walled Vinyl Factory that you get an immediate sense of the excitement this collaboration brings, the crowd filled with fans all eagerly awaiting the evening’s festivities. The agenda for the night was a celebratory evening in partnership with Stone Island and New Balance, commemorating the launch of their collaborative 574 Legacy sneaker.

The evening kicked off with fans all gathering to take in the selection of curated product from Stone Island archivist, Archie Maher, a collection of garments which referenced the illustrious heritage of the brand: the foundations underpinning the New Balance and Stone Island 574 Legacy. It served as a visual lineage charting the course of Stone Island’s legendary history, product dating from the brand’s inception to the modern era – ranging from a 1982 Tela Stella Bomber jacket to a 2008 hand painted Raso Gommato camouflage field jacket.

Following this, attendees then made their way to the performance area, with DJ sets from CVSS, Huna, BB and James Loach warming up the crowd with an eclectic mix of sounds. Next up was a live set from Korby, delivering a captivating performance of an array of standout tracks like 2023’s “Wait for You”. Next on the agenda was the evening’s final act, Leicester’s very own Sainté, who electrified the crowd with a flawless set, delivering performances of a selection of much-loved tracks, including “Round & Round”, “Stylin’” and “03’”.
