Inner-city corner stores are so often hubs of community, their shelves stacked with diverse products in a range of colourful, textured packaging. It’s that spirit Nike has captured in the latest Dunk Low, crafting the upper from woven textiles and synthetic panels that mimic industrial rice and coffee bags. As ever, there are nods to the brand’s sporting heritage, too, by way of vibrant graphics from the Blue Ribbon Sports days. It’s completed with a shopping-inspired tongue that’s tagged with nutritional label branding and even has a mini zipped pouch, just like reusable grocery carriers.
