The late Virgil Abloh represented a trailblazer in contemporary fashion — a visionary who not only pioneered with his own boundary-pushing sensibility, but opened the doors for a near-endless list of creatives along the way. His collaborations with Nike epitomised that cutting-edge approach to design; their debut partnership, “The Ten”, flipped the script on sneaker collaborations, with Abloh forgoing all rulebooks and deconstructing ten icons from the Swoosh archives.

Cut-Out Holes
With the latest from Off-White and Nike, two transformations of the Blazer Low in black and white, the two pay tribute to Virgil’s pioneering vision, with a duo of unreleased designs from the late multihyphenate's archive.

Reworked Sole Unit
The approach takes the foundations of a Blazer Low and pushes it in an entirely new direction; the uppers are detailed with cut-out holes — nodding to the still-in-process aesthetic synonymous with Off-White — while the laces are extended to nod to their Dunk Low that debuted in 2019. The experimental aesthetic is continued at the sole unit, with an additional heel clip — borrowed from the Air Terra Humara — that juts out to really drive home the bold look.
