adidas’ ZX series was first designed for running, not combat. This ZX 8000, though, is as close as you’ll get to a mil-spec addition to the range. Hard-wearing black canvas replaces the usual mesh and suede to form the upper, which can be customised with interchangeable rip-tape patches. Hits of green tiger camo appear throughout, most notably on a detachable pouch which houses orange laces that you can swap in for a more high-vis look. All the ZX’s signature tech features are ever-present, too, from the comfy EVA midsole to the stabilising Torsion system.
