An endless desire to dream
Internationally revered sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield, lays claim to the design credit for an impressive list of Nike's most iconic sneaker silhouettes. Responsible for the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 93, and Air Jordan 3 through to 15 (to name but a few), Hatfield's influence has reverberated through international sneaker culture for more than three decades.
Motivated by an endless desire to dream, Hatfield has repurposed and refined Nike's iconic Air Max technology in myriad ways throughout his tenure, delivering athletes and streetwear buffs with premium sneaker product underpinned with pioneering footwear technology. Applying his architectural background to the construction of footwear, Hatfield set a new bar in global sneaker design by establishing a need for designers to deliver in terms of both form and function for boundless curb-appeal and a smooth in-flight experience.
Now Vice President of Creative Concepts for the Oregon-based sneaker monolith, Hatfield continues to innovate new technologies and sneaker concepts to consistently raise the bar in athletic footwear.
