INSIDE KEYRAH & SALOMON'S DJ WORKSHOP @ ARTUM

Celebrating the release of the Salomon XT-Whisper, DJ and Birmingham native Keyrah held a workshop in the art of DJing at the Second City’s Artum venue.

Taking over Artum on Monday 2nd December in the north-west of Birmingham’s expansive city centre, DJ and Second City native Keyrah hosted an intimate workshop for women, those identifying as women and people of marginalised genders, in collaboration with Salomon ahead of the launch of their XT-Whisper sneaker.

Kicking things off with some welcome drinks, Artum’s multifaceted space provided the perfect environment for Keyrah to give a talk to newcomers and up and coming DJs alike. Detailing her journey into becoming a world-renowned DJ, Keyrah shared her experience within the industry, with the talk ending with a Q&A session where the audience were able to glean further insight into the world of professional DJing.

Diving into the art of mixing with a hands-on tutorial and demonstration, Keyrah showcased each step of the process, from song selection to beatmatching, EQing and blending. Following the demo, Keyrah invited attendees to join her at the decks, trying out what they have learnt, creating an interactive and encouraging atmosphere. Sharing knowledge with the audience, the event provided the perfect opportunity for networking, sharing musical discoveries and championing the next generation of DJs in the city.
