18 March 2023Nike takes a trip down memory lane in celebration of 2023’s Air Max Day, harking back to the prototypical days of the AM1 with the “Big Bubble”.
With Air Max Day celebrations just around the corner, Nike takes a trip down memory lane to take us back to the line’s infancy. It’s dubbed the “Big Bubble”, harking back to the prototype runs that Tinker Hatfield developed prior to the line’s inauguration in 1987.
As the name suggest, it’s the sole unit that demands the most attention: it’s enlarged to reference the refining process that went into the AM1’s final design. The upper half is of note, too, boasting that OG colour palette of red, white and grey to round off the Air Max Day festivities.
