The brainchild of skate scene veterans Peter Kolks and Ric van Rest, Pop Trading Company’s origin story dates back to 2003, when Peter and Ric both worked in skate shops. Bringing sophistication and manufacturing expertise to the world of skate apparel, they eventually founded the Amsterdam based brand in 2013. 

Originally the label only distributed major skate labels, however the brand began developing its own line in 2015, launching its first collection during the fall/winter 2016 season. Releasing its own collection of sleek and stylish streetwear, the label broke down barriers in 2017, becoming the first skate brand to feature at Paris Fashion Week, 

Focusing on interaction with the community, Pop is an active part of Amsterdam’s skate community. Dredging the path for exploring new territories, it takes its influences from the golden era of skateboarding, combined with a contemporary menswear edge.
