Featuring large-format photographs shot by Italian Moncler art director Francesco Ragazzi, the book of Palm Angels explores the lives of skaters around LA, including Venice and Manhattan Beach where the skateboarding scene is paramount to the city’s unique street culture. Hoping to showcase the elite phenomenon that skateboarding has become, Ragazzi focuses his lens on capturing the sense of fashion and belonging that comes with the sport that was once only recognised as a casual pastime. Working with celebrities such as American singer and rapper Pharrell Williams, the book works to shed light on how what was once a simple hobby became the catalyst for high street fashion trends all over the world.
