New Balance’s “Refined Future” series, commonly known as the “Protection Pack”, started out life on the label’s 2002R in 2021, quickly gaining notoriety for its distinctive aesthetic which takes on a distressed, almost-relic-like appearance.
Now, the coveted series returns, with New Balance turning their attention to another technical 990v3: the 1906R. The sneaker takes on a similar approach as the 2002R, with breathable mesh across the uppers and angular, eroded-like suede overlays used throughout.
