adidas x Overkill ZX 8500

Back in 2008, adidas started the A-ZX series and caused great excitement among ZX fans with 26 unique drops! 12 years later they started again, because the brand with the three stripes celebrates the four-digit ZX models again this year.

For the letter "O", adidas has once again dv1681-100 up with Overkill, with whom we were happy to be able to realize our joint Lego ZX project.

With the ZX 8500, the brands bring a design that reflects a variety of ideas, facets and approaches on the hybrid silhouette. The mix of ZX 8000 and ZX 9000 combines iconic details of both silhouettes and brings neat color and material diversity as well as other numerous details. A bright upper in neon yellow, pink, purple & red, which was inspired by the color palette of Montana Gold Graffiti cans to the mudguard in concrete look, the graffiti cover runs like a green thread through the overall work of art.

The attention to detail is also reflected elsewhere: pinstripe mesh & suede, as well as other details such as a hybrid logo of Overkill Quote and »Flammable« warning on the heel and lacetags, a stitched »Overkill« on the toe box, an »OK« tag on the heel cage as well as an adidas logo crossed by the Overkill Quote (and vice versa) on the respective tongues provide a coherent overall look.
