KangaROOS x THATBOII - Ultralite *355C* - Made in Germany

THATBOII is a brand, which doesn’t fit a mould. The combination of streetwear essentials with high quality items in limited quantities is the brand’s key to success. Founded in 2016 by CHELO, the Munich-based brand is mainly known for its Tees and the special items made in Germany. The brand’s signature look is clean and simple, part-streetwear, part-high fashion, part-everyday design with a unique touch in every collection (thatboii.com/lookbook).

Originally a KANGAROOS handball shoe from the 80s, THATBOII has now created a sneaker in cooperation with KANGAROOS, that is more reminiscent of a BMX silhouette.

Chelo, founder and creative designer of THATBOII: „What first came into my mind was a BMX shoe, but it also is an absolute allrounder and it works with many different outfits. For me, the most important thing was to create a shoe that I can wear together with many looks and that I can rock every day.“

BMX riding and the whole lifestyle was an important part of Chelos youth, the sneaker and the new THATBOII collection should transport and convey this kind of vibe. The name of the sneaker is „Street 355C“, because „Street" is a discipline of BMX Freestyle, THERE ARE ONLY “355“ pairs produced and C stands for Chelo. „Street" represents also the street-character of the shoe. Moreover it fits perfectly into the new collection „tour de munich“, which is mostly inspired by the BMX culture.
