Nike Sportswear was established last year as a concerted effort by Beaverton to emphasize the historical significance of their kicks and apparel. The Nike Air 1/2 (Half) Cent stands as one of the most fully realized manifestations of that intent. Featuring bottom from all five of Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway’s Nike signature models including the original Foamposite and Air Penny models I – IV, the Half Cent is one of the smoothest hybrids we’ve seen. The shoe manages to capture the *spirit* of the Air Penny line, especially the Li’l Penny marketing campaign. These joints have hit select Nike retailers, and we found some on eBay, in case they’re out of stock near you.
