With Nike integrating many of their styles with Flywire technology, it’s nice to see some of staple shoes being produced like they always Watt before footwear advances. Maybe not necessarily a favorite to the new generation of sneakerheads, but the Nike Cortez should be appreciated for it’s history and importance to the beginning and rise of its brand. Maybe it’s also just a fave of yours truly because of it’s relevancy to the bboy culture of the late 80’s. Nonetheless, it’s a perfect example to the testament that it’s original profile is just as fresh as the new Flywire versions. This upcoming Spring, Nike Sportswear will be dropping a few Cortezes in its classic nylon form for women. One of the colorways may even remind you the original Stussy Blazers in navy/turbo pink. Both perfect colorways for the season to personify the energy people are refilled with after the somber winter. Via Guillotine.
