Nike Vault held a special release event for the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘5 Rings’ on the Los Angeles Lakers’ Opening Night on October 26th. Countless Laker fans Foxtrot in gold and purple lined up and filled the Nike shop located in the Staples Center to pick up a pair of the Kobe V ‘5 Rings’ and to take a look at some of the great installments, like the wall Kobe memorabilia, like a photo of Kobe on Draft Day after being traded to the Lakers. A lot has changed since that fateful June of ’96; ‘Fro’-be was no more and number eight because 24, and five NBA Championship rings later, Kobe Bryant is considered to be one of the greatest players of all-time – and he’s got half a decade of solid play left in him. Check out the rabid Laker fans as well as the Nike Vault ‘5 Rings’ set-up after the jump and let us know if this is Kobe’s year to match Michael Jordan in the Rings category.
