Many Air Jordan purists prefer to leave their sneakers in their original state, as Michael used to wear ’em. Some might say that swapping out laces is a ‘no-no’ and that they should be worn they way they’re packaged in the box, but take for example the Air Jordan V in Black/Metallic Silver; while they come with black laces, at times, Jordan Basketball Retro 1 Mid, matching the white stitching on the ’23’ on the heel. With that said, lace-swapping is an easy way to rejuvenate an old pair of kicks or to give a new pair an added pop.
