Since its launch in 2006, it’s been apparent that Supra’s design crew were heavily influenced by Nike and Air Jordans in particular. It started innocently enough with the Air Jordan IV-like Cruizer and a host of Bulls, Grape and Aqua colorways and then went up a notch when the Skytop II released with an undeniable AJ6 tongue. Even that can be seen as an homage to Jordans as the new standar in modern footwear, but poaching a guy from the Swoosh roster and releasing a shoe for a sport he may have never even tried? That’s starting to sound personal. Check out the Go to mobile version ‘Deion Sanders Pack’, a reminder that upon his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Prime Time is not signed with the label that helped make him a household name, but rather, a burgeoning skate brand. Will Supra eventually tackle other sports outside skateboarding? That remains to be seen, but while we wait for the future to see how that plays out, the Society Mid ‘Deion Sanders’ is available in Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers colorways from Supra.
