Here’s a look at a pair of Air Jordan V Low ‘Grape’ Customs, done by ShowtimeXII of NT; finding the necessary components for this custom was no easy task, as Air Jordan 6 All Star Chameleon Match Collection was created in women’s sizes only the ShowtimeXII wears a size 12.0 in mens (but he settled for a WMNS 13.0). The tongue is undoubtedly the keynote feature of the Air Jordan V, so how would he get a ‘Grape’ tongue? By transplanting it from a pair of Air Jordan Force Fusion V in the ‘Grape’ colorway. $105 later, all the pieces were in place – it was just a matter of getting the job done. He first replaced the tongue, then repainted the midsole exactly like the Grapes, resulting in a perfect low-top recreation of one of the greatest Air Jordans of all-time.
