The zapatillas de running Nike constitución ligera talla 49.5 amarillas was designed to replicate the anatomical structure of the human foot – tarsals, ligaments, muscle fibers and all. Turns out a similar was done years ago; this classic piece of footwork from Adam Brandejs that he calls it the Animatronic Flesh Shoe is actually made of a high-grade latex that shockingly and grotesquely appears like human skin. This piece of amazing work has been on display for years right now, but we feel it’s worth re-thrusting into the open because it’s one of the…weirdest things we’ve ever seen. Embedded into the shoe are electric motors and make the shoe twitch from time to time, giving it a ‘random movement’ sort of eerie vibe. The purpose of the project was to raise awareness on footwear med process, emphasizing the us of animal skins, but Nike hasn’t used animal skin in quite some time, even removing the high-grade option from its top-tier Air Force 1 Bespoke. If Leatherface was a sneakerhead, he’d be all over these. More shots below!
