“Cool Grey” Air Jordan 9 – New Images

Jordan Brand just released the first of six new Air Jordan 9s inspired by Michael’s first retirement from basketball.  Described in that more 40-46 way, one might look beyond the ‘Johnny Kilroy’ pack to recognize that seven Nines for Holiday ’12 touch on the MJ’s-no-longer-a-Bull theme, including the ‘Cool Grey’ colorup that debuted just over a decade ago.  The Air Jordan IX ‘Cool Grey’ was something of a sequel to that colorway’s 2001 Air Jordan 11 debut and follows a bit further behind that model’s ’10 retro, but they’ll drop about one week before (the expected date for) this year’s Christmas Elevens.  So whether it’s the retirement thread or all the patent leather Jordans available for Q4 you’ve got a tremendous variety of Air Jordan Legacy styles to choose from, and more photos of this DNA follow the jump below.
