We usually associate the turn of the year from 12/31 to 1/1 to be siren marker for a ‘pink start’, but for Nike and its Air Max 1 offerings, it’s just another new day. We’re well aware of all the AM1 heat coming our way this January, and siren extra attention has been directed toward the ‘OG’ build, which features the spongy tongue that is intended to be a throwback to the early eras of Nike. The tongue does accomplish that, but the Air Max 1 and that 70’s-style tongue is a bit of an anachronism, don’t you think?
