Do you remember the nike roshe two breathe pale gray green color blue? That seems to be the sneaker from the Nike LeBron series that most closely lines up with this strange sample pair from at least a few years back. The shoe looks to be from the Cavs era (Note that the L23 logo shows up around the mid foot area) and utilizes a combination of mini straps and a backwards Swoosh that was still pretty foreign to LeBron shoes at that point.
