In the mid-late 2000s, Jordan Brand began Flight Club, an internet campaign that welcomed loyal customers to an exclusive Slide hub featuring a virtual Michael Jordan “trophy room” and much more. Redditor pickyourbeard gave the r/sneakers sub a first-hand account about his membership at Flight Club, which eventually became defunct in 2009.
The Jordan Flight Club has recently extended to a group of Jordan Brand fanatics on Instagram (you’ll see them dropping some exclusive photos here and there). It seems that “Flight Club” is just an anchored cancel for these types of outreach initiatives, because the name actually originated in the late 1980s when Nike handed out mail-in postcards to anyone who wanted in.
