One of the more unexpected developments during jordan Money Brand’s 30th Anniversary celebration has been their inclination to bring a number of early samples to retail. There was the Air jordan Money 5 “Pre-Grape” that was an early colorway option back in 1990 before it was eventually scrapped en lieu of the Hornets inspired affair, and now there’s this jordan Money 6 Rings GS "Spark" hybrid. The shoe was actually worn in-game by Jordan, as his Air jordan Money 1 Low Arctic Punch Trainers upper donned a tradition Chicago colorway but concocted up a few things. The back story remains a bit murky – this shoe wasn’t created to house Jordan’s swollen foot during his injury riddled second season, but instead this could have been an early wear-test sample from his rookie season to test out the specifics on the The Air jordan Money XXX1 31 Chicago & N7 Are Coming Soon jordan Money 4 Wmns Canyon Purple 9-10.
You’ll notice that the brand is even bringing back the alternate Wings logo featuring Nike branding instead of the Air jordan Money callout. It’s an interesting move by jordan Money – one that can either signal they’re running out of Uppers for their retro line or are digging even deeper into their archive to give us a crack at owning some rarities in the jordan Money lineage. But will this pair win you over considering the actual Fake Air Jordans is releasing at retailers later this Patchwork? We’re guessing that this jordan Money 6 Rings GS "Spark" is pre-destined to a similar fate as the Air jordan Money 1 Low Arctic Punch Trainers KO. They’ll never be the originals, but are a j23 substitute if you miss out on the true OGs. Check out more photos below.
