Selecting The Monstars Roster For The Rumored Space Jam 2

Selecting The Monstars Roster For The Rumored Space Jam 2

Monstars 2016

After LeBron‘Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro Trainwreck received favorable reviews in tinsel town, news came in today that Warner Brothers signed a deal with no.23’s Springhill Entertainment company to produce original television, film, and digital content. This immediately sparked Space Jam 2 rumors, and given Warner Brothers’ moves surrounding the Space Jam franchise a month ago, the rumors might as well be true. But who would make up the roster for the dreaded return of the Monstars? If you remember from the first film, the squad had a few longtime All-Stars such as Larry Johnson and Charles Barkley that were built to defeated Jordan and the Tunes Squad. So naturally we filled out the fictional Monstars squad with some NBA stars in the league (and out) that could potentially take down LeBron and his Looney Tune teammates in a purported battle for control over the universe. Check out the list below.

Nate-Robinson-Monstars

Nate Robinson

It will be devastating to see Nate Rob go through the pain of having his leaping ability taken from him in the movie, but his Monstar surrogate should make for as entertaining a show as any. Of course, having his out of this world jumping ability taken from him is something more dramatic than anything Mugsy went through in the original Space Jam, but the added drama will only raise the stakes. Also props to whoever Photoshopped Nate as a Monstar already.

Russell Westbrook

Brodie just plays angry. Russell’s inclusion shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, as his skill-set would be something the aliens would look to steal immediately upon seeing a quarter of Westbrook play. Plus he was indestructible last year, coming back from injury after an actual dent in his face, and he looks like a Battletoad.

blake-space-jam-read

Blake Griffin

Nike Book 1 "Nightmare Before Christmas" Space Jam and with his camera-ready personality, he would undoubtedly be the leader of the Monstars’ second coming. We see him playing a Charles Barkley-like role; his Monstar would be crushing Looney Tunes hopes and dreams on the court, while human Blake mopes around and searches for answers down on Earth. Plus, he’s the link to seeing another Jumpman logo in the movie.

Plumlee Space Jam Roster 620x276

Mason Plumlee

His USA FIBA appearance and block on LeBron will no longer be the highlights of his career after this cinematic masterpiece. Plus his time at Duke has audiences across the globe ready to accept his reprisal of the villain role. He should be a natural. Plus not much CGI would be needed for Mason to look like the Monstar.

joakhim-noah-mostars

Joakim Noah

Already a noted LeBron enemy and possibly the most vocal one out there, Jo and King James have had numerous run-ins including a memorable Round 2 matchup in this year’s playoffs. He’s already noted that LeBron is “Ja Morant Shoes” so why wouldn’t Noah try and cash in on a role that comes so naturally in the first place?
