best of nike retro 2015 sock dart

Nike Sock Dart

First released in 2004, the Sock Dart was back and better than ever with a whole new life in 2015. Easily one of the most hyped silhouettes of the year thanks to stylish colorways and limited quantities, none of the Sock Dart’s releases lasted long at retail, especially the fragment design collaborations as well as the Be True release. The sneaker world is ready and waiting for the next round of Sock Darts in 2016.

Supreme x Nike Highlights Supreme SS19 Week 13 | Nike Air Foamposite One “Chromeposite”

After receiving way too many graphic treatments in recent years, the Air Foamposite One had a nice comeback in 2015 with appealing looks like the “Gold” and “Hologram” colorways. Following the footsteps of the mega-hyped “Galaxy” colorway, the Foamposite One was also back for a big release on All-Star Weekend. This year’s “Chromeposite” edition made for the shoe’s most hyped release since the star-covered version from 2012, and arguably the best All-Star shoe of the year.

Best Of Nike Retro 2015 Bruin

Nike Bruin “McFly”

The sneaker community was disappointed when Back to the Future Day came and went without a release of the selflacing Nike Mag, but at least we got a consolation present: the white and red Bruins worn by Marty McFly throughout all three movies. In quality materials and featuring no Nike branding on the tongue or heel just like Marty’s pair in the movie, the “other” Back to the Future shoe was a special unexpected treat. If only they made more pairs…

Best Of Nike Retro 2015 Presto

Nike Air Presto

Fans of the Nike Air Presto had much reason to celebrate in 2015, as the innovative and influential sneaker from 2000 received more retro love than ever before. Purist collectors were happy to see original colorways like the “Lightning”, “Unholy Cumulus”, and “Brutal Honey” versions make their first-ever comebacks, while stylish tonal and cozy fleece constructions were other highlights. And if you weren’t happy with any of the retail looks, a number of great options (including Tech Fleece) were available on NIKEiD to solidify 2015 as the biggest year for the famous “tshirts for your feet” since 2000.

best of nike retro 2015 greedy 95

Nike Air Max 95 “Greedy”

The Air Max 95 returned in a big way in summer 2015 with the latest bring-back of the iconic “Neon” colorway. Those were definitely good enough to make this list, but since we’ve all seen them so many times before, we’re going with the all-new “Greedy” colorway. The creative take on the “What the” theme combines multiple recognizable Air Max 95 colorways throughout the years onto mismatched left and right shoes for a fun and eye-catching celebration of the beloved running shoe.

best of nike retro 2015 air force 1 hi purple

Nike Air Force 1 Hi QS “Varsity Purple”

Nike brought the Air Force 1 High back in a big way for 2015, with a number of “remastered” editions featuring accurate shape, better materials, and original colorways. Along with those came the surprise re-release of this all-time classic AF1 High from 1994 in purple and white. Although one of the most sought-after colorways for Air Force collectors throughout the years, they’re paradoxically still sitting with a near full size run on Nike.com. Don’t sleep any longer.

best of nike retro 2015 air max 1 banned

Nike Air Max 1 “Banned”

Combine one of the most iconic running shoes ever with the “Bred” Air Jordan 1, and you obviously get some good results. Constructed with quality leather featuring a special embossed Nike Air logo on each heel and released in limited quantities, these are now one of the most sought after versions of the Air Max 1 in years. Will the ’87 runner ever feature Nike Air on the heel ever again?

Best Of Nike Retro 2015 Atc3

Nike Air Tech Challenge III

At last, the Classic Air Tech Challenge III retroed in the original form it deserved. Its first re-release from 2007 is considered one of Nike’s worst botches of a retro ever, with de-saturated colors, bad materials, no black detailing on the midsole, and worst of all, no Agassi flaming tennis ball logo on the heels. But that was all forgiven this year, with a proper bring-back of the shoe without all the aforementioned problems. Tech Challenge collectors were ecstatic, and the “Neon” colorway disappeared quickly.

Best Of Nike Retro 2015 Class Of 97

Nike “Class Of 97” Pack

Sneaker packs have become an almost too common sight in the sneaker world, but every so often one comes along that stands out and makes a little more sense. This is one of them. Fans of late ‘90s Nike Basketball line and Spike Lee’s beloved basketball movie He Got Game are the ones most excited about this set of the original colorways for the Air Foamposite Pro and Zoom Hawk Flight, which were both found on Ray Allen’s feet in the movie. The cult-classic Hawk Flight returns for the first time ever, making the pack that much more special.

best of nike retro 2015 mowabb

Nike ACG Mowabb

The all new reboot of ACG has been nice, but when it comes to Nike’s outdoors line nothing will ever beat its initial era in the early 1990s. The most classic of all ACG models, the Air Mowabb, was back in 2015 in original colorways and a few new looks. Along with the return of the Mowabb, Nike Sportswear introduced the Koth Ultra and Huarache Utility, both with heavy inspiration from the classic running/hiking hybrid, proving its design is still relevant today.
