The shoe utilizes what Nike is calling adaptive fit technology, which features four main components: a heel sensor to alert the shoe when a foot enters it, a cable lacing system, a high-tech mini-motor that tightens and loosens the cables, and a rechargeable battery to provide power to the motor and L.E.D. lights within the incredible feat of footwear engineering.
