adidas is bringing Boost to their latest marathon model in an effort to help athletes reach their respective goals of getting under the two-hour barrier. The adidas adizero Sub2 Marathon Shoe is the first step in the three stripes’ ambitious Sub2 program and will be officially unveiled during this Sunday’s Tokyo Marathon by the one and only Wilson Kipsang, a Kenyan long-distance runner who looks to regain the world record for fastest marathon time. He’ll stand out from the pack too, thanks to the exclusive “Energy Blue” colorway, currently the only pair of the Sub2 Marathon Running Shoe in existence.
The adizero Sub2 is the result of focused attention on the latest cutting edge innovation. Boost Light technology is engineered specifically for marathon running and is lighter than the average Boost midsole unit thanks to extensive testing. The upper is made of a single layer of incredibly lightweight fabric with Microlift technology adding reinforcements. Microweb outsole is the latest advancement from Stretchweb and offers up superior grip over a Hiker of surfaces in an effort to deliver record-breaking times in the marathon world.
