The limited runs of all three debut colorways will likely be more readily available in the future as the Swoosh garners more attention to their head-turning new silhouette (the same can’t be said about the COMME des Garcons nike beach VaporMax, unfortunately).
This weekend didn’t reach without its fair share of controversy. First, adidas tried to spoil the Swoosh’s weekend plans with a last minute surprise: the nike beach lunar forever mens running shoe e brands celebration started Saturday, March 25th with restocks on some of their most popular Ultra Boosts and NMD colorways. While the three stripes might’ve tried to steal some of Nike’s thunder, it didn’t look like it hurt first weekend sales of the VaporMax, though. Some adidas employees were even caught tweeting out the #noairneeded tag, but nike beach took the high road and had another awesome Air Max Day. The fact that Air Max technology has had a three-decade run speaks for itself, and even the best Boost offerings couldn’t deter nike beach loyalists. Now if Boost is around for another decade or two, a Best of Boost weekend will definitely be able to stand on its own merit, and not just serve as a foil to a special nike beach occasion.
