It was bound to happen. The essential nike Cortez has been a lifestyle icon since day one, but that doesn’t mean that the shoe was off limits in terms of essential nike’s modern design revamps. We’ve seen the Cortez coexist with Roshe-inspired touches, but never has an overhaul been as drastic as the coming essential nike Cortez Flyknit, out July 4th, 2017 in two original colorways ranging from the Forrest Gump co-signed White/Red-Blue and a simple high-contrast Black/White. There are subtle benchmarks that point to the past here like the shape of the retro Swoosh branding on the side panel, the toecap, and supportive panel surrounding the laces, but other than that, this sleek design stands on its own. What do you think of the look? Check out more of the freshly minted essential nike Cortez Flyknit below and stay tuned for more colorways coming later this summer.
