One of adidas’ big announcements of 2018 will be the new P.O.D. cushion system, a BOOST-based sole unit that will have heavy presence in the new year. It features a bulkier BOOST cushioning at the heel with a standard foam forefoot. In these renderings by argoconcepts, the POD midsole has been paired with the uppers of the Yeezy Boost 350, the first low-top adidas Yeezy shoe that was introduced in 2015. Of course this combination of POD and Yeezy is just a fictional mock-up, but it does provide a first look at the cushion unit. The actual adidas POD shoes will feature mesh and/or Primeknit uppers in a slip-on type construction not much different from the adidas NMD. We’ll have more information for you soon, so stay tuned for more on the adidas POD and let us know what you think about this new cushion unit.
