Urlfreeze News Earlier this Summer, Pyer Moss founder Kerby Jean-Raymond was appointed as the Artistic Director for Reebok Studies, an emerging new division within the sportswear brand that aims to “explore the human nature of things and show the importance of people’s live and stories.” Barely two months after the announcement of this larger partnership, Jean-Raymond debuted his Collections 3 and 3.5 at the historic Kings Theater in Brooklyn to a massive crowd that lined up around the block to witness his interpretation of the concept of “Sankofa”. The runway show, which was prefaced by an empowering speech and backdropped by live choir music that delivered a medley of classics of both hip-hop and gospel, saw the designers collaborative vision with Reebok materialize with a vibrant assortment of sportswear gear and the new Experiment 4 – Fury Trail sneaker. The was design in three parts to communication the story of the fight and rise of the marginalized, the glamour and expression of success, and emotion. All three parts of the silhouette come in contact with the wearer.
