While Nike and the NBA have shown their appreciation of their partnership through various Air Force 1 renditions before, the two have never really had anything to celebrate other than the fact that they share a sponsorship. Until now, as for the first time ever, an in-season game of the Association will be flown overseas to French soil for a showdown between the Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks in Paris on January 24th, 2020. So to commemorate the special event (and possibly act as a shrewd business move for international expansion), the two have cooked up a specially made Air Force 1 Low that comes detailed with French flair. Base layers are left untouched for the most part making for a clean white canvas, allowing the the rears that feature a French translation of the National Basketball Association on the lateral regions, in addition to a unified NBA x Paris logo stamped on the heels. In addition, the taping at the midsole alternates between blue and red hues as a nod to the country’s flag, followed by additional branded graphics split between insoles that display the aforementioned translation logo on the left foot, and the number “20” on the right. Stay tuned as we learn more of its official release date, and enjoy an official look here below.
