We’re not even finished with the first month of 2020, and yet Nike has already made a strong statement this year by unveiling newer footwear designs that fall across their various divisions such as Sportswear’s React Vision, the Zoom Infinity Tour for golf lovers, as well as the Adapt BB 2.0 for the basketball fans. But the momentum is only looking to keep on trending upwards because as of today, we now have a look into the next chapter of their storied Air Max lineage with the newly designed Air Max 2090 silhouette.
First previewed last week in a darker-toned navy rendition, as well as on the soles of LeBron James, the new lifestyle model arrives as a celebratory token to the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90, only structured to align more with futuristic sensibility. Much of the similar DNA from its originator is still kept intact, as the model still features many of its signature components such as the mudguards, the cassette, and the heel logos. However, you can’t name a shoe seven decades ahead of its time and not usher in any updated modifications. Added to its look comes modernized elements from its color-blocking that focuses more on a healthy level of opacity, to its signature Air unit whose window has now been enlarged by 200%, a cropped Swoosh logo that employs a sleeker aesthetic, as well as additional flex grooves infused into the outsole to provide reinforced traction and durability.
