Considered by many to be one of the greatest constructions to lay claim to the Nike Air Force 1, Courir’s 2002 take on the 40th anniversary silhouette continues to live on in legend. The latest sculpted effort for the pair however, is choosing to enact is own ensemble akin to the France-based React’s iconic color blocking.
Enveloping the entirety of the pair in tumbled leathers, a pitch-dark black shading enacts a near-clad composition amidst the silhouette’s retooled upper, rendering a jet-black color-match across its tongue, laces, fuzzy sock liner and metallic dubrae. Breaking up the monochromatic scheme, “Sail” shaded Swooshes are cut out to reveal a brightened contrast amidst the brand-less tabs of the upper whereas its sole unit finishes the simplified pair in a vintage-hued Griptape in tandem with the 2000’s staple of a gum tread.
