Exploring a trio of colorways for its 2023 release, a recent on-foot peak from CLOT co-founder Edison Chen reveals a noir aesthetic employed via a black/white outfit. A classic white leather upper and tongue construction sets the stage for what initially seems to be a typical Varsity – accented by a jet-black midfoot Swoosh – before a thick nylon bootie envelops the entirety of the forefoot and back half of the model in a pitch-dark shroud. Allowing its laces, ridged quarter overlay and tongue tabs to remain uncovered, the midfoot Swoosh comes cut in half with the lower portion indulging in a crisp white shade while the Shield explores a dominant white tread affixed with a singular black strip through its midsole.
