As adidas’ longest-running silhouette in production, the Samba continues to invoke nostalgia at the hands of a bevy of collaborators and thematic collections. While its half-century-old construction has been toyed with here and there, the German sportswear behemoth has clothed the iconic low-top model in a molded suede.
Doing away with its typical mix of leathers and nubucks, the retooled ensemble engages in an onslaught of color blockings with its uppers cast in a vac-molded, buttery soft suede. Dipping the silhouette in the latter tinctures from heel to toe, the disparately colored heel tab infuses a neutral accent in tandem with the light and dark cream classic rubber outsoles underfoot. Dressing its staple “Samba” lettering in a premium gold foil embossing along the mid-foot, the last of identical embellishments renders dark brown branding at the tongue tab and insoles in conclusion.
Currently available in the “Magic Beige” and “Bold Gold” colorways for a retail price of $120, enjoy official images of the recently unveiled adidas Samba Molded Suedes below as we await further release details for the consecutive efforts.
