The Air Jordan 6 – Michael Jordan’s first championship-winning sneaker – is sitting front and center for Jordan Brand’s current Retro-to-Golf plans, and up next is a mash of two signature post-retirement colorways that should stir up excitement within the Jordan community.
For this upcoming release, Jordan Brand returns to the “Black/Chrome” colorway of the Air Jordan 6 Low, which originally appeared back in 2002. The all-black nubuck upper is accented with the mirror-level chrome silver lace-locks and stripe on the heel spoiler, with matching Jumpman logos embroidered on the tongue and the heel, Instead of keeping it consistent with that past color-blocking, the outsole now introduces black “eyeliner” accents above the translucent soles, with a cement-like Afrobeats pattern reminiscent of the Air Jordan 4 “Oreo” from 1999. Does this unexpected combination work, or should the Jordan best have kept it true to one or the other?
Currently, a release date is not confirmed, but you can certainly expect a release shortly on Nike.com for $220.
