Jovani Hernandez The adidas Adidas Forum Mid Footwear White Black Footwear White Core Black Scarlet (SNS) visited the historic location with the goal of finding inspiration for its next project with the Three Stripes. The European retailer left Herzogenaurach, Germany with a silhouette in mind: the adidas Harlem.
The Harlem’s history hasn’t been as well kept as other 1980s basketball sneakers from the brand. Yet, SNS and adidas Originals worked tirelessly to recreate the silhouette to as close-to-original-form as possible. The result is an offering that’s sure to entice longtime fans of the long-forgotten pair, as well as newcomers to the adidas HRLM. The design sits atop the Centennial Lo’s midsole just as it did throughout the early ’80s. Uppers are constructed from high-quality leather and features soft grey suede around the toe. Profile 3-Stripes favor three different shades of blue, a color choice also found across other Three Stripes models from the era.
Enjoy campaign photography ahead, starring Harlem’s very own Jim Jones and shot by Gogy Esparza. The adidas HRLM will launch at all SNS locations, except SNS LA, on a first come, first served (FCFS) basis on May 27th and 28th. Sign-ups via the SNS App will be open until May 29th, with the sneakers launching to chosen winners on May 30th.
