This detail is also closely tied to the nike free 05 sale’s chief architect Tinker Hatfield; according to Tinker, he concocted the famed “Safari” print when he noticed an ostrich-skin couch at a furniture store.
Interestingly enough, the style code that is presumed to be attached to this sneaker (based on the shoebox in the photo) is tied to the recently released “Light Armory Blue” pair. This suggests that this “Blue Safari” iteration is once again a limited-issue collaboration, similar to how the Kids Of Immigrants doctored up the “Smokey Mauve” pair and individually numbered them to 1,986 pairs. How this pair differs, outside of the obvious Safari pattern, is that the midsole is now tinted yellow and an artistic “AIR” sits right above the visible window.
