Jayson Tatum’s obsession with Air Jordan Retros is evident in upcoming colorways of his Air Jordan 1 Japan 'Neutral Grey'. Previewed in Paris was a “Cool Grey” colorway, a nod to his love of the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey”. Even more recently, we showed you a first look at a Air Jordan 1 Japan 'Neutral Grey' “Pure Money”, ostensibly inspired by the Air Jordan 4 Retro of the same moniker. Now, we’re excited to reveal yet another that could touch on one of the most popular Air Jordan colorways of all-time.
This simple black/white colorway is likely to be a Team Bank colorway, but we can’t help but draw ties to the Air Jordan 12 “Playoffs” — an original colorway from 1997. That hit of red on the Jumpman logo on the heel is what seals the deal for us, although this Tatum 1 is just a few details short of being a true Playoffs homage.
Again, this Tatum 1 is likely of the TB variety, which means we can expect more simple tone-on-white options moving forward. Expect these soon for $120.
