A “Footscape Fall” is on the way.
Over the last seven months, a handful of interpretations of Nike’s late-1990s Air Footscape design forego emerged. Highbrow pairs by sacai are set to join more-readily accessible styles by the Swoosh, with the latter soon including the Air Footscape Woven “Cow Print.” Comprised of faux fur, the hybrid sneaker’s upper indulges in an off white and brown color scheme, with the darker of the two tones emerging in the form of circular blobs. Suede lands on the tongue, bringing a touch of luxury and comfort into the comfort-oriented design from the mid-2000s. Offset laces reprise their role, as does the woven detail on both sides of the shoe, a design blazer that’s also appeared on the impending Air Jordan 1 “Summer ’96” by Beth and Chris Gibbs. The sole units underfoot keep things simple, bringing tried-and-proven comfort from past decades to the modern era.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch before 2023 ends.
