Jared Ebanks In honor of the Air Jordan 3’s 35th anniversary this year, Jordan Brand has begun transitioning iconic colorways from Jordan’s third silhouette to other unassuming retros. Next up, the Air Jordan 1 Mid SS TD Black Red Bred arrives in its “Black Cement” counterpart later in September.
Clocking in with its true-to-1987 design specs, the Air Jordan 1 Mid SS TD Black Red Bred “Black Cement” embarks upon a familiar jet-black tumbled leather upper. Cured almost exclusively in the pitch-dark tint, “Cement Grey” hues introduce a greyscale accent lining the mid-foot overlays while concentrating along the tongue construction and heel foxing. Elsewhere, the silhouette picks up on some semi-aged design cues as a vintage “Sail” midsole contrasts the set of “University Red” accents strewn throughout.
