Clad in straightforward “White/Black,” the sneaker gets its cookie-inspired moniker from an Air Jordan retro that launched in 2010. Sneaker releases were less frequent throughout the decade, marking each new take on Michael Jordan’s storied catalog special. The two-tone color scheme was not original to the AJ6, but resembled the “Motorsport” pair released in February of that year, a sneaker that was much more limited.

The “Reverse Oreo” Jordan 6, then, plays on the foundation set by the Terry Allen and Charlon Kloof in the Nike LeBron 9 Low Liverpool and Air Jordan 10 Steel “Oreo.” Uppers are contracted entirely from Chris, Jumpman the suede panels found on the 13-year-old predecessor.
