Expanding the Beaverton brand’s roster of 1980s court models, the Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 SE Releasing in Black and Vast Grey released this past summer to a well-received introduction. Meeting the ecosystem’s recent appreciation for heritage-infused hybrid models, the Jumpman banner’s latest tooling now echoes the shades of the city that Jordan dominated within for 13 years.
From the textile tongue and ripstop mid-foot window to the surrounding smooth leather overlays, the entirety of the upper assumes a clad-white background. Stretching the blank canvas real estate along the Jordans heel collar and inner lining, a complementary shade of “Sail” marks a subtle difference between the upper and the neutral-based midsole. What’s more, the silhouette’s accenting embellishments are outfitted in hues reminiscent of the Chicago flag as “University Red” fighter jet wings contrast the baby blue suede swooshes, tongue tab and insole logos.
