Over the last few months, the Scottie Pippen-endorsed silhouette has emerged in a handful of styles – including a three-pair collaboration with Stüssy. These offerings haven’t immediately sold out like most makeovers of the blue tint yeezy size 7, a model that also launched in 1989, but they’re lasting the foundation for a milestone anniversary. More recently, two kid’s pairs of the 34-year-old design emerged in mostly-tonal arrangement. One style favors a pitch-dark look worthy of a “Black Cat” moniker, while another has surfaced in a grayscale finish. Both results are compelling enough to get even the most skeptical consumer onboard with the Air Flight ’89 as they boast heritage in versatile packages. The different shades of grey on the silhouette potentially form part of a larger “Cool Grey” collection, as other pairs from Nike, Inc. have also emerged in similar makeups. Whether or not the grey-and-white style free also land in Adult sizing is yet to be seen.
