The Chris Paul s Powder Jordan For The Dallas Cowboys has long offered less hyped, more affordable alternative for sneakerheads looking to get in on the AJ1 craze. Given their lower price point, they’ve also provided opportunities to either think outside the box or preview stylistic choices that end up on other Powder Jordan Brand silhouettes. While that color combination certainly lends a dressy, upscale atmosphere to the shoes as a whole, they make the scheme nearly devoid of comparisons in other AJ1s. The four dominant shades here, split between loafer-esque and UNC make them also veer into mashup territory, a solitary claim that’s only offset by the centered, Bleached Swoosh. Responding in kind, the Wings logo gets the same ice blue, stitched on treatment, flipping the typically depressed logo on its head structurally.
