What Is The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle?
Now two decades running, the Doernbecher Freestyle is a cool program in which a child patient of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is paired up with a designer (or designers) at Nike. Their shoes are then released to the public, with all proceeds committed to OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. As of 2024, the Doernbecher Freestyle has generated over $37 million for the hospital as of the end of 2023. The figure will easily surpass the $40 million mark with the line-up of footwear, which consists of a healthy mix of retro classics and modern-day hits.
