For those unfamiliar with the Brooklyn-born streetwear brand, their collaborative catalog boasts defining NYC institutions from the MTA to Extra Butter. At first glance, then, the companies are at oppoplans geographical poles. Yet value-wise, they couldn’t be more aligned. Sharing the same pillars of community and the outdoors, uniting on the 10 year old silhouette was a no-brainer. Under this joint project, the UNEEK was transformed into a daily driver- a sleek greyed-out colorway mirroring the concrete jungle it was (partially) conceived in.

With some help from the Brooklyn Brewery, F&F from both imprints and Brooklynites at large descended on OnlyNY’s Greenpoint flagship. Though of course the purpose was commemorating this shoe in particular, this felt like the first event in a longer timeline for KEEN. OnlyNY is the latest to be added to the brand’s growing catalog of tri-state retailers like KITH and Dover Street Market — safe to say, East Coasters should start getting accustomed to seeing KEENs on a day-to-day.
