This is a microcosm of a frequent Nike strategy with offshoot models. Rather than continue experimental design in the palette, this shoe opts for a more conservative white & yellow layout, only interrupted by an off-white midsole and grey suede eyestays. It allows the out-of-left-field construction to speak for itself, and easier fit into consumer wardrobes than if it opted for a wilder color swatch. All the same, the added rubber swatch, modified apex entrance and exposed foam tongue carry enough to stand out from the mainline Nike Blazer.
